Things My Daughter Licked Today, the Poem

My daughter licked her shoe today, she did it just for fun

Then she licked the other shoe, cause why just lick the one?

She ran upstairs and licked the wall,

Then turned around and found a ball.

She licked the ball then found a slug,

You best believe she licked that bug.

She ran into my room and saw

Her chance to lick our poor dog’s paw.

Next she found a bedtime book,

She licked a page and saw me look.

She ran away to the bathroom

Licked the toilet, made me fume.

She went downstairs and licked her sister

Saw me coming, I just had missed her.

Upon the door, she laid her tongue,

Oh well, that’s it, for now, I’m DONE!
